Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets rules for permitted and prohibited uses of https://voxshift.site (the "Service"). It supplements the Terms of Service and is intended to prevent harm, illegal activity, rights violations, and misuse of voice-cloning, dubbing, and synthetic-media features. All users, customers, and their End Users must comply.
Scope
Applies to all accounts, users, API callers, uploaded content, generated outputs (audio/video/text), Voice Models (including clones), and any derivative works created, stored, or transmitted via the Service.
General Principles
- Lawful Use: Use the Service only in compliance with applicable laws, including Singapore statutes and regulations.
- Respect for Rights: Do not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Safety & Non-Harm: Do not use the Service to threaten, defraud, harass, facilitate violence, terrorism, human trafficking, or other harmful conduct.
- Transparency & Consent: Obtain explicit, documentable consent from any person whose voice is cloned or whose likeness is used when required.
Prohibited Uses (non-exhaustive)
You must not use the Service to create, upload, generate, or distribute content that:
Impersonation & Fraud
- Intentionally impersonates a real person (public figure or private individual) in a manner likely to cause confusion, financial loss, reputational harm, or to commit fraud, unless you have explicit, verifiable consent.
Deception & Disinformation
- Produces synthetic media intended to mislead the public about events, public policies, elections, or other civic processes.
- Generates political messaging or Online Election Advertising (OEA) using a cloned voice.
- Publishes, boosts, or shares digitally generated or manipulated content depicting any political candidate during an election period, regardless of consent or disclosure.
Illegal Activity & Harmful Conduct
- Produces content to facilitate, plan, or execute illegal acts (e.g., fraud schemes, evasion of law enforcement, trafficking, terrorism).
- Creates content intended to extort, blackmail, threaten, stalk, harass, or incite violence.
Non-Consensual Sexual Content
- Generates, uploads, or distributes sexually explicit audio, video, or imagery (pornography) regardless of alleged consent.
Intellectual Property Violations
- Uploads or synthesizes copyrighted material, trademarks, or third-party proprietary content without authorization (unless fair use or license applies).
Privacy & Personal Data Abuse
- Uses the Service to expose, distribute, or derive sensitive personal data (financial, health, biometric, government ID details) without lawful basis or consent.
Automated Abuse & Security Evasion
- Circumvents rate limits, reverse-engineers models, extracts model weights, or attempts to remove watermarks/metadata inserted by Company.
- Uses bots or automated systems to generate or disseminate content for malicious purposes (spam, scams).
- Utilizes the Service to spoof, bypass, or deceive biometric authentication systems (e.g., voice ID banking logins, facial recognition liveness checks) or to conduct corporate impersonation (e.g., Business Email Compromise or deepfake executive scams) in violation of the Online Criminal Harms Act (OCHA).
High-Risk Commercial Uses Without Safeguards
- Distributes synthetic media for commercial advertisement, endorsements, or testimonials that use a person's voice or likeness without written consent and proper disclosures.
Conditional & Restricted Uses
Certain uses may be permitted only with additional controls, verification, or prior written approval:
- Cloning public figures, celebrities, or journalists: allowed only with explicit consent or for clearly labeled and non-deceptive editorial/research purposes with strict provenance markings and Company approval.
- Political speech or campaign material: permitted only with documented consent and disclosure; may be restricted in some jurisdictions.
- Sensitive contexts (medical, legal, emergency services): require Company review, proof of compliance with applicable rules, and safeguards to prevent misuse.
Consent & Verification Requirements
- For any cloned voice or content that reasonably replicates a real person's voice, you must obtain explicit, documented consent prior to creation or distribution. Acceptable evidence may include signed consent forms, recorded verbal consent linked to verified identity, notarized documents, or third-party verification.
- Company may require government ID, liveness checks, audio fingerprinting, or notarization for high-risk or public figure cloning.
- You must retain consent records and provide them on request to Company or law enforcement.
Transparency, Disclosure & Labelling
When creating synthetic content likely to be consumed by others (public distribution, commercial use, or political messaging), you must:
- Clearly disclose that the content is synthetic or includes a voice clone; and
- Ensure any required labels, captions, or metadata added by Company remain intact.
Watermarking & Forensics
You must not remove, tamper with, or obscure Company-applied watermarks, metadata, cryptographic signatures, or provenance markers. Company will add such markers to help trace and mitigate misuse.
Monitoring, Enforcement & Consequences
Company reserves the right to monitor usage, review content, and take action for suspected violations, including:
- Warning, temporary suspension, termination of Account, removal of content/Voice Models;
- Requiring user verification or restricting features;
- Reporting to law enforcement, regulators, or affected third parties;
- Pursuing civil or criminal remedies and indemnification for damages.
Company will fully cooperate with lawful requests and binding directives from Singapore authorities, including the Singapore Police Force (SPF), the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the POFMA Office, and the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), as well as foreign law enforcement where legally required. This includes complying with account information requests and mandatory takedown directives under the Online Criminal Harms Act (OCHA) and POFMA.

API & Third-Party Integration Rules

- API keys are personal and non-transferable. Compromised keys must be revoked immediately.
Data Protection & Retention
Processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). You acknowledge that extracting and modeling vocal characteristics constitutes the processing of biometric personal data. You must not submit voice samples or personal data in contravention of the PDPA. You warrant that you have established a lawful basis (such as explicit consent) to process the biometric data of any third party using our Service.
Company retains logs, metadata, and content as described in the Privacy Policy. Company may keep copies of generated content, consent records, and audit trails to investigate misuse and to comply with legal obligations.
Age Restrictions
- Minors: Users must be of legal age to use the Service. If content involves a minor's voice, strict parental/guardian consent and additional safeguards are required; cloning minors is generally prohibited unless legally permitted and Company-authorized.
Export Controls & Sanctions
You must not use the Service in violation of applicable export controls, sanctions, or trade restrictions. Use from sanctioned jurisdictions or for prohibited end uses is forbidden.
Modifications to Policy
Company may update this AUP. Material changes will be communicated in advance where feasible. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Interpretation & Conflict
This AUP supplements the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In case of conflict, the Terms of Service govern.
